As a Social Conservative I can believe we must conserve and cherish our culture just as we conserve our natural environments
New National Holiday - Union Day
‘Union Day’ could be a new public holiday of national celebration.
The day will celebrate the Unions of the Crown and the Act of Union.
The United Kingdom has one of the least number of public holidays and whilst other countries celebrate a national or independence day, we in the UK have nothing more meaningful than a ‘Bank Holiday’.
A new public holiday of national celebration will give real meaning, as opposed to another ‘Bank Holiday’.
Restore Crystal Palace including Victorian Dinosaurs
The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs are a unique insight into Victorian perspectives, these are national treasures that need to be protected and fully restored.
I also believe that the Crystal Palace itself should be rebuilt.
Nationwide Beautification Projects
Many urban areas in Suffolk and throughout the country are poorly maintained, rubbish thrown into streams, vegetation overgrown with paths and roads in poor repair.
Local MPs need to highlight and work with councils to sort out these issues for the sake of the community and to create a safe nurturing environment for children.
